How Darwin Defined Evolution

Evolution: Darwin defined this term as "decent with modification." It is the change in a lineage of populations between generation. In general terms, biological evolution can be defined as the process of change by which new species develop from preexisting species over time. In more generic terms, evolution is any change in the frequency of alleles in populations of organisms and species from generation to generation.
